DALLAS, Texas—We cannot ruin our nation after the freedom we have received on Nov 4th. As friends of Obama we need to be hard on him, tough on him in his early decisions. We cannot let him go far that we cannot straighten him.
Sonal Shah, one of his advisors is claimed to have fascist connections. The piece has appeared in Hindustan Times, one of the respectable Newspapers of India. We have to look at her individual record and not that of her family members. Individuals do wrong (or right) and not their families or faiths. I hope Sonal is clean, but it needs to be affirmed, one bad apple can ruin his administration. (update below)We need to watch Rahm, what we read and hear about him is not good. Obama needs to put him through some tests if his heart and mind is open towards other people. We need to know if Rahm is prejudiced against Palestinians, if he is, he will be an obstacle to peace in the middle east ruining every chance for the Israelis to have peace and security, and continued hopelessness for the Palestinians. We have had bad policies in the Middle East for the last sixty years, we cannot continue with them for another sixty, it is time to change now and yes we can.

A day of upheaval on global financial markets culminated last night in the heaviest fall in US share prices for almost seven years as the crisis that overwhelmed two of Wall Street's most prestigious banks broadened to threaten the survival of the world's largest insurance company. The US authorities were seeking to put together a $40bn rescue package for insurer AIG last night amid concern that bad investments compounded by the year-long credit crunch could send it into bankruptcy, similar to the demise of the investment bank Lehman Brothers. Lehman collapsed in a startling financial turn of events which saw another hallowed Wall Street name, Merrill Lynch, capitulate in a hastily arranged $50bn takeover by Bank of America.

Pakistan’s Balochistan province appears to be a target of a conspiracy that aims at cutting this resource-rich and strategic piece of property off Pakistan. There is no question that a foreign-inspired and funded insurgency is being thrust on the province, exploiting genuine domestic grievances. Terrorists are being sheltered and trained in Afghanistan for this purpose. The role of Washington and New Delhi is quite documented in this regard, with the Karzai people playing the role of puppets. Now, a retired Pakistan physicist who has worked for NASA argues, based on his work, that the Balochistan earthquake might be manmade. We know that in such circumstances, spy agencies come into action and try to exploit the situation. But this is a different argument. Conspiracy theorists will love it, others will dismiss it, but it is worth taking a look at. There is no reason not to believe that someone out there might be researching how to create artificial earthquakes.
